Description:
The House Operations Manager is responsible for the overall function of St. Elizabeth House, Hartford, including the Friendship Center. These responsibilities include finances, food service, staff supervision, maintenance, safety, reports and audits, volunteer management and ensuring compliance with residential guidelines. The House Operations Manager establishes and maintains cooperative relationships with public and private agencies.

Title: Housing Specialist, Supportive Housing Services
Description: The Housing Specialist coordinates, under the direction of the Supportive Housing Manager, activities for the overall function of intakes in the Supportive Housing Services component and works with landlords to secure and maintain the clients’ housing. The employee interviews possible clients and contacts appropriate providers for the essential data to complete the application packet; works with the client and/or Recovery Specialist on apartment selection, inspection and completing the financial documentation for rental assistance. The employee maintains accurate, up-to-date records of available apartments and landlords and assists with statistics and reports.
Essential Skills, Abilities, Knowledge:
Education and Experience:
Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) from four-year college or university; and two to three years’ related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Bilingual fluency (English/Spanish) preferred.

Title : Recovery Specialist – Supportive Housing Services
Description : The Recovery Specialist works with clients living in local apartments. Duties include coordinating the client intake process as directed by the supervisor and facilitating the development of the client’s Recovery Plan (Individual Service Plan). The Recovery Specialist assists the client in obtaining appropriate services and crisis intervention, mediates conflict related to client services, and maintains client file, correspondence and all other required client data and advocate for clients.
Essential Skills, Abilities, and Knowledge:
Education and Experience:
Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) from four-year college or university; or two to three years’ related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience, preferably with homeless persons, persons with mental illness and/or substance abuse. Bilingual fluency (English/Spanish) preferred. Moderate computer proficiency expected (i.e., Microsoft Word, Excel).
